As many of you know, Business Leadership and Superior Training, BLAST has become the principal annual Conference for Blind entrepreneurs and State Licensing Agency management and staff over the past decade. Each year we have provided curriculum, added networking opportunities, team building exercises and top notch tours and entertainment. In 2011, by popular demand, we are moving this dynamic Business Leadership and Superior Training, BLAST Conference to the fall. Save the date and join us for education, motivation and the largest Trade Show for Blind Entrepreneurs and those with whom they work. In 2011, the “BLAST” brand becomes “BLAST+.” With your support and partnership we will offer expanded curriculum and greater reach for your company +. Make your plans now. First and foremost, I want to thank you on behalf of all of our members for your commitment to blind entrepreneurs across the country. You have truly been such a strong and supportive ally, helping our National Association of Blind Merchants to promote expanded business opportunities for blind entrepreneurs. Please consider a tax-deductible donation, and take much pride and satisfaction by serving as a significant financial underwriter of our Business Leadership and Superior Training, BLAST + for blind entrepreneurs. Commensurate with the level of sponsorship you choose, we will provide time and space during the Conference and in Conference materials for you to explain and market your company and its products and services to over 600 Conference participants. Save The Date: Wednesday September 21st - mid-day Saturday, September 24th, 2011 with a robust, targeted Trade Show Thursday September 22nd. No more than 70 exhibit spaces available! Rooms can be booked now. Simply call the Nashville Airport Marriott (800-770-0555), tell them that you are booking for the National Association of Blind Merchants, BLAST +. Rooms are available at the unbelievably low rate of $113.00 per night plus applicable taxes. These rates are effective from Monday the 19th through Saturday, September 24th, 2011. Music city is beautiful in the fall and as always, space is at a premium. Act quickly to enjoy the party and promise of BLAST +. The curriculum available at BLAST + 2011 will be expanded to include those blind people, employment specialists, Rehabilitation Counselors and others interested in developing or maintaining small businesses unrelated to the Randolph Sheppard food service and vending arenas. Much of Wednesday the 21st will focus on business planning, securing funding, survey of potential small business opportunities, building businesses in the areas of access technology, home based businesses, government contracting, franchising and much more. There may be time Wednesday afternoon and at other times during the Conference for sponsors and exhibitors to provide some targeted training to their potential customer base. You will want to work with us to reserve time and to design curriculum. The entire Conference will be an event from which everyone involved in Blind Entrepreneurship will benefit.
